According to different social-media platforms, several investment managers revealed they received preliminary consent from Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) to commence launching the ETFs.

Notably, at least three offshore Chinese asset management entities have signaled their intentions to roll out spot ETFs imminently. Among these are the Hong Kong divisions of Harvest Fund Management and a collaboration between Hashkey Capital and Bosera Asset Management. Additionally, China Asset Management’s Hong Kong arm announced regulatory clearance and expressed commitment to developing crypto offerings.

However, while social-media statements hinted at approvals, the SFC has yet to issue an official statement on the matter. Some posts on social media, wherein companies announced their approvals, have been removed subsequently.

Ether and Bitcoin experienced respective increases of approximately 6% and 3%, with each surpassing $3,250 and $66,000, respectively. The buzz surrounding Hong Kong’s decision stimulated interest in these tokens and the broader cryptocurrency market, initiating a recovery after a lackluster weekend.

Earlier this week, Adobe announced that it was considering adding third-party artificial intelligence (AI) tools to its video offerings. The software manufacturer’s Premiere Pro app is commonly used in the film and television industries.

Adobe plans to add various artificial intelligence-based features to the Premiere application, including the ability to eliminate distractions from a scene without a video editor needing to do any taxing work or fill in scene parts with objects generated by artificial intelligence. Both features will depend on Firefly, an artificial intelligence model that the software maker has already deployed in its Photoshop offering.

Other features on its Photoshop offering include Generative Fill, which enables users to extend an image that was too closely cropped. This feature also allows users to use text descriptions to add features.

Ely Greenfield, Adobe’s chief technology officer for digital media, explained that Firefly’s intention was to make it easier for graphic artists to generate new images out of various ideas.

Despite competition from startups like Midjourney and OpenAI, the software maker has set itself apart by training its Firefly model. In its statement, Adobe also revealed that it was developing a way that would allow its users to use third-party tools from Pika Labs, Runway and OpenAI to generate and use videos in Premiere Pro. This move may allow the software maker, whose shares have dipped by roughly 20% recently, to address concerns that artificial intelligence tools for video and image generation are exposing core businesses to risk.

OpenAI has, in the recent past, shown how its Sora model uses text prompts to generate realistic videos. However, it is yet to make the technology public or give a timeline for when it shall be made available to the public. Adobe has also released a demo of Sora being utilized in Premiere Pro to generate videos. It described the demo as an experiment but gave no timeline for when the feature would be made available.

Deepa Subramaniam, SVP of product marketing for creative professional applications at Adobe, stated that the company hadn’t yet settled on how revenue realized by third-party artificial intelligence tools used on its platforms would be divided between outside developers and Adobe. Subramaniam explained that Adobe users would receive notifications when they weren’t using their commercially safe artificial intelligence models. She then noted that all videos produced by Premiere Pro would clearly show which technology was used to create them.

Subramaniam then added that they were still focused on ensuring their industry-leading ethics approach on artificial intelligence was observed.

The project is fully permitted. Exploration plans for 2024 include drilling a high-priority target located approximately 2km south of the historic Rottenstone Mine along with drilling other high-priority targets. Additional soil geochemistry, surface geophysical programs and geological mapping and prospecting will be performed during the summer field season.

The Gochager Lake Project

The Gochager Lake Project in northern Saskatchewan, also in the prolific Trans Hudson Corridor, was recently expanded through the addition of the contiguous Watt’s Lake property and direct staking, bringing its total land area to 22,620 hectares.

The Gochager Lake property is host to a historic resource defined by drilling in 1966-1967 consisting of 4.2 M tons grading 0.29% Ni and 0.08% Cu. Recent drilling by Fathom has defined multiple very robust off-hole borehole electromagnetic (BHEM) responses in eight of nine holes drilled in 2023 and three historic drill holes probed. There is very strong evidence of multiple, high-grade nickel-copper-cobalt steeply oriented chutes within the historic Gochager Lake Deposit.

Prior to Fathom exploration in 2023 and since 1970, exploration at the property has been limited to small drill programs in 1989-1990 and 2018. Exploration plans for 2024 include expanded surface geophysical programs, drilling and continued BHEM surveys to expand tons and increase the grade of the historic Gochager Lake deposit. Summer exploration will consist of soil geochemistry, mapping, prospecting and additional surface geophysical programs focused on identifying other Gochager-like deposits within the current land package.

The property is wholly controlled by the title holder, Empresa Minera Villegas S.R.L. It is located 48 kilometers north of Tupiza city, in the Sud Chichas Province of the Department of Potosi. This is an important mineral deposit type in the prolific South Mineral Belt of Bolivia. Eloro commissioned a NI 43-101 Technical Report on Iska Iska, which was completed by Micon International Limited and is available on Eloro’s website and under its filings on SEDAR.

A fully financed drill program is currently underway on the property, situated near world-class deposits including Silver Sand, San Bartolomé, Pulacayo, San Cristobal, San Vicente, Chorolque, Tasna, Choroma and Siete Suyos. Iska Iska is in the southwest part of the Eastern Cordillera, which hosts a number of major polymetallic mines and mineral deposits. Drilling and continuous channel sampling results have demonstrated some very high metal values, especially silver and tin, within an immense system, where mineralization has been encountered in every drill hole to date. Projects

The Melba Property is the site of a former producing gold mine located about 15 kilometers north of the gold mining center of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The project is located in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, part of the largest gold producing area of Canada. Visible gold can be identified in quartz veins on the surface and high-grade gold intersections have been obtained in drilling by AUEX. No exploration has been carried out on the extensions of the veins to the north or south of the surface exposures in swamp covered areas.

The Doyle Property lies in the Batchawana Greenstone Belt located north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Past drilling identified high-grade gold deposits in three areas of the property. Follow up studies are needed on all three sites. Exploration has not been carried out to follow-up the high-grade gold intersections. Further work will focus on expanding the areas of known gold mineralization.

The Landrum Property in Edgefield County, South Carolina, is in the Carolina Gold Belt, home of at least five past producing gold mines and one currently producing gold mine. The area was the site of the first gold rush in the U.S. in the early 1800s, predating 1849 California. The area has recently become of interest due to gold bearing intersection on a nearby property where 62.5 meters graded 8.5 G/t gold in a recent drillhole. Gold can still be panned in some streams in the area. Identified veins consist of silicified zones generally made up of 20-50% and vary in thickness from less than a meter to 10 meters.

The Paint Lake Road Property is located in Wawa, Ontario, and is less than five kilometers from Wesdome’s operating Mishi Open Pit gold mine. Gold deposits have been found to the north, east and south of the property. A recent geophysical survey on the neighboring property has pointed to a prospective mineralized horizon which appears to trend onto the property.

Market Opportunity

The World Gold Council, the industry association for the world’s gold producers, estimated in 2023 the physical financial gold market, which is made up of bars, coins, gold ETFs and central bank reserves, is worth nearly $5 trillion. The council reports that gold mine production adds approximately 3,500 tons of the precious metal to the world’s supply annually, equivalent to about 2% growth.

Recently the gold price has reached new highs on multiple days and is tracing a trend upward.

This historical scarcity and relatively slow production of new supply, as compared to other commodities, is a primary reason gold has retained its value for millennia, according to the council.
