Norway has decided to temporarily ban new crypto mining data centers in order to protect its energy supply. The ban was announced on June 20, 2025, and will begin in August 2025. The goal is to reduce the huge amount of electricity used by crypto mining activities and to make sure that energy is available for other important uses.

Crypto mining is the process of creating new units of digital currencies like Bitcoin. It requires strong computers that work all day, using a lot of electricity to solve complicated math problems. These computers run in data centers, which are large buildings full of machines. Because they never stop working, they consume a massive amount of power.

According to Karianne Tung, Norway’s Minister for Digitalization and Public Administration, the government wants to limit crypto mining as much as possible. She said this is part of a bigger plan to reduce energy waste and guide the country’s power toward activities that benefit more people.

In April 2025, the government also introduced a law to regulate data centers. This law would require centers, including crypto mining ones, to register with the government and share information about who owns them. This is meant to give the government more control over which projects are allowed to operate in the country.

Norway has become a popular location for crypto mining because it offers cheap, clean, and reliable electricity. Much of this comes from hydropower, which is electricity made from flowing water. In the northern parts of Norway, both land and energy are even cheaper, making it a favorite spot for mining companies. Because of this, Norway now makes up about 2% of the global Bitcoin mining power.

However, the Norwegian government believes that crypto mining doesn’t help the economy very much. It creates few jobs, and most of the money made from mining leaves the country. At the same time, it puts a lot of stress on Norway’s energy system. For this reason, leaders want to make sure electricity goes to industries and services that support local growth and jobs.

Norway is also thinking about the future. Even though it has a strong energy supply from both oil and water, energy demand is rising. The country wants to protect its resources and make sure energy is used in smart, sustainable ways.

By putting a pause on new crypto mining, Norway is choosing to protect its power supply and focus on long-term benefits for its people and environment.

Entities like MARA Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: MARA) will be watching whether the jurisdictions in which they have operations, or intend to expand their operations into, remain friendly to the establishment of crypto mining facilities.

The internet has been flooded with misleading information since Israel launched attacks on Iran last week. Much of this content appears designed to boost Iran’s image or misrepresent the conflict’s reality. Pro-Israel accounts have also shared outdated footage from unrelated protests in Iran, suggesting that the Iranian public is turning against its government and backing Israel.

BBC Verify reviewed dozens of posts and found that many exaggerated Iran’s military response using fake videos, some created with AI. Despite being entirely fabricated, several of these AI-generated clips racked up more than 100 million views on different platforms.

Geoconfirmed, an organization specializing in analyzing open-source visuals, described the current volume of fake material as “shocking.” According to the organization, creators known as “engagement farmers” are using recycled or fabricated media to gain followers and profit from the attention. Examples include misused footage from Pakistan and old videos from past attacks, along with clips from video games, all falsely presented as real events from the ongoing conflict.

Some social media accounts have gained enormous popularity almost overnight by repeatedly sharing misleading or AI-generated content. One such pro-Iran account, Daily Iran Military, doubled its followers in less than a week, from around 700,000 to 1.4 million. These profiles, often verified with blue check marks, frequently pose as credible sources even though their real operators remain unknown.

Experts say this conflict marks the first major instance where AI has been deployed on such a wide scale to distort the narrative of war. Videos and images intended to make Iran’s attacks look more successful than they were have flooded platforms. One widely viewed image showed a barrage of missiles raining down on Tel Aviv, while another falsely portrayed an Israeli building under attack at night.

There has also been a wave of fake content focused on Israel’s F-35 stealth fighter jets. AI-generated images have claimed several of these advanced planes were destroyed. However, experts say no authentic footage supports these claims.

Some of these narratives are thought to be pushed by online networks previously linked to Russian disinformation efforts. Experts point out that Russian influence has shifted focus from Ukraine to undermining confidence in U.S. military equipment, particularly the F-35 jet, which Russia can’t counter effectively. By spreading these stories, the aim may be to weaken support for American-made arms in other countries.

False content has also been shared by established social media accounts previously involved in other geopolitical debates. Analysts believe many of these users are looking to make money off the traffic generated by high-performing posts.

Pro-Israel posts have largely centered on the idea that the Iranian government is losing support. One viral AI-generated video even claimed that Iranians were chanting pro-Israel slogans in Tehran, a scenario that experts say is entirely fictional. Meanwhile, as talk grows about U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, AI-generated images of B-2 bombers over Tehran have also begun to circulate.

Even some state-run media in Iran and official Israeli defense channels have shared manipulated content—sometimes unknowingly—such as using unrelated old videos and AI-made images of destroyed jets.

Much of this content circulates on X, TikTok, and Instagram. While platforms like TikTok claim to be cracking down on false information, enforcement remains inconsistent. In some cases, X’s chatbot, Grok, has mistakenly confirmed fake videos as real, adding to the confusion. For example, one video showing endless missile trucks emerging from a mountainside was fake—rocks moved on their own—but Grok cited mainstream news sources and called it authentic.

While some fake content is pushed by organized actors, a large part of its spread comes from ordinary users who quickly share posts that match their beliefs. Social media researcher Matthew Facciani points out that emotionally charged, politically divisive content tends to spread faster online. In times of conflict, he says, people are especially prone to reshare content that reinforces their side, even if it’s not true.

For companies like Thumzup Media Corp. (NASDAQ: TZUP) that specialize in marketing brands by leveraging AI use on social media, the growing misinformation driven by AI tools could be a big concern since it detracts from the productive use of this technology.

Thumzup Media Corp. (TZUP), closed Tuesday's trading session at $6.99, off by 0.7102273%, on 86,904 volume. The average volume for the last 3 months is 175,562 and the stock's 52-week low/high is $2.02/$9.74.

Medical marijuana advocates are raising concerns about new state guidelines in Missouri that restrict how much cannabis patients can legally buy from dispensaries. Under existing rules, dispensaries must monitor patient purchases to make sure they don’t go over their monthly limits.

Earlier this year, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services updated its website with new guidance. It states that once patients hit their allowed amount, they can’t legally switch to recreational purchases to get more marijuana. The department’s cannabis regulation division emphasized that this rule is meant to keep everyone within their legal possession limits.

Currently, patients enrolled in Missouri’s medical cannabis program are limited to 6 ounces of unprocessed cannabis over a 30-day period. Meanwhile, recreational users can buy up to 3 ounces per day, although they’re not allowed to hold more than that at any one time. The law also prohibits tracking purchases of recreational users unless they give consent.

Andrew Mullins, who leads the Missouri Marijuana Trade Association, argued in an April letter that the state’s interpretation of the law isn’t constitutional. He wrote that forcing residents to choose between being medical patients or recreational consumers goes against sound policy and legal principles.

Mullins pointed out that the approach conflicts with what the division told cannabis businesses in 2023, shortly after recreational sales began. At that time, the division had said patients over 21 would also be allowed to make purchases as recreational consumers.

However, department spokesperson Lisa Cox later clarified that the response had been sent in error and did not reflect the finalized rules, which didn’t take effect until August 2023. Cox noted that the department has reviewed Mullins’ concerns and is now reassessing the current policy.

Brennan England, who heads the Missouri chapter of Minorities for Medical Marijuana, says the restrictions hurt communities of color, which were among the earliest to rely on legal medical cannabis for safe and affordable care. England, an advocate and patient himself, launched major reform efforts beginning in 2014 and opened Missouri’s first private cannabis lounge in 2019.

He argues that the current rule not only limits access but also erodes trust in the system. England is calling for a full repeal of the policy, followed by a public dialogue involving patients, business operators, and state regulators. “You can hand out memos,” he said, “but when you sit across from someone whose treatment has been interrupted because of these limits, that’s when real change begins.”

The entire marijuana industry around the country, including leading firms like Green Thumb Industries Inc. (CNSX: GTII) (OTCQX: GTBIF), will be watching how the concerns of patients in Missouri will be addressed by the regulators there.

Massimo Group (NASDAQ: MAMO)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Massimo Group (NASDAQ: MAMO).

Chinese vehicle giant BYD is shipping thousands of electric vehicles (EVs) to Brazil ahead of a progressive tariff program that will make importing EVs to the South American country increasingly costly. As China was locked out of the lucrative European and American auto markets via import tariffs, Chinese carmakers began looking for alternative markets to sell their affordable electric cars. As the largest economy in South America, Brazil was a natural target for automakers like BYD that were seeking opportunities for growth. Unfortunately for BYD and other Chinese automakers, their efforts drew the attention of Brazil's powerful carmakers' lobby, which began putting immense pressure on the Brazilian government to levy import tariffs on electric cars imported from China. Although these cheap electric cars have left many Western automakers worried about their fate, they have been welcomed by consumers who simply want EVs and aren't concerned with where they came from. For many Brazilian drivers, BYD's last-ditch effort to flood the market with electric cars could allow them to purchase an electric car before import tariffs make them too expensive. In the U.S., enterprises like Massimo Group (NASDAQ: MAMO) have an opportunity to deepen their market penetration as existing tariffs lock out foreign-made EVs, especially those from China.

Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSX.V: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSX.V: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF).

Walker Lane is one of the hottest exploration area plays in the United States and is known for its high-grade gold and silver discoveries

Lahontan's centerpiece in the region is the Santa Fe Mine project, a former open-pit producer

Beyond Santa Fe, Lahontan holds three additional properties — West Santa Fe, Moho and Redlich — that enhance the company's upside

A Canadian-based mineral exploration company with four high-potential gold and silver projects in Nevada's Walker Lane, Lahontan (TSX.V: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF) is operated via U.S. subsidiaries. With a flagship brownfield mine, robust resource, and active drilling programs, Lahontan offers investors exposure to both near-term development and exploration upside in one of the world's most mining-friendly regions — Nevada's Walker Lane.

Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSX.V: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF) is a Canadian mine development and exploration company advancing a portfolio of gold and silver assets in Nevada’s Walker Lane, one of the world’s most productive and mining-friendly regions. Through its U.S. subsidiaries, the company controls four gold and silver properties in Nevada, three of which are 100%-owned and one controlled via a low-cost option to acquire full ownership. With a clear near-term path to production, Lahontan is focused on unlocking oxide gold and silver value from past-producing, infrastructure-rich projects.

The company’s mission is to responsibly develop and expand its oxide resources while minimizing capital intensity and maximizing economic returns. Leveraging a strong technical team with a track record of advancing projects and building mines, Lahontan is focused on growing gold and silver resources and hitting permitting milestones across multiple sites. Its strategy prioritizes scalability, efficiency, and timely value realization for shareholders.

By maintaining full project ownership and a capital-light development model, Lahontan Gold is positioned to rapidly transition from development to production.

The company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.

Projects

Santa Fe Mine

The 26.4 km² Santa Fe Mine is Lahontan’s flagship asset and core development priority. A past-producing open-pit, heap-leach gold and silver operation, Santa Fe historically yielded more than 359,000 ounces of gold and 702,000 ounces of silver between 1988 and 1995. The site benefits from established infrastructure—including power, water, and road access—and more than 79% of its known resources are unencumbered by royalties.

A 2024 NI 43-101 resource estimate outlines 1.54 million ounces of gold equivalent (AuEq) in the Indicated category and 0.41 million ounces Inferred, all pit-constrained. Oxide resources average among the highest grades in the state and are distributed across five known deposits. A 2025 Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) projects strong economic returns, including an after-tax NPV5% of $200 million, a 34.2% internal rate of return (IRR), and average annual production of approximately 50,000 ounces AuEq over an eight-year mine life.

Permitting is well underway for both the Exploration and Mine Plans of Operation, covering over 12 km² and more than 700 drill holes. The company is targeting construction permits in late 2026 and continues to pursue oxide resource expansion and metallurgical optimization, particularly within the Slab-Calvada corridor.

West Santa Fe

West Santa Fe lies just 13 kilometers from the flagship and is being explored as a potential satellite operation. The project is defined by a shallow, oxide-dominant gold-silver system with a conceptual target of 0.5 to 1.0 million ounces AuEq based on historic drilling and recent surface sampling, which returned up to 2.61 g/t Au and 899 g/t Ag (14.6 g/t AuEq). A 6,300-meter Phase One reverse circulation drill program is scheduled for 2025 to validate historical data and support a maiden resource estimate. Development is streamlined under a low-cost option agreement and a rapid permitting path via Notice of Intent.

Moho and Redlich

The Moho and Redlich projects provide additional longer-term upside within Lahontan’s portfolio. Moho features high-grade, oxidized epithermal veins with historic production at grades of 20–25 g/t Au and 300 g/t Ag. A 2019 core drill program confirmed the presence of high-grade mineralization at depth. Redlich, located along trend from the historic Candelaria silver mine, hosts disseminated Ag mineralization in epithermal veins and hydrothermal breccias but remains untested by drilling. While no near-term programs are currently disclosed, both assets represent future exploration optionality.

Market Opportunity

Lahontan Gold operates in Nevada, consistently ranked the top global mining jurisdiction by the Fraser Institute due to its transparent permitting process, legal stability, and established infrastructure. Nevada produces over 4.5 million ounces of gold annually, generating approximately $9 billion in value, and ranks fifth globally in total gold production.

According to the World Gold Council, total gold demand in Q1 2025 reached 1,206 tonnes, up 1% year-over-year, marking the strongest first quarter since 2016. Central banks added 244 tonnes to reserves, a slight slowdown from the prior quarter but well within the strong buying range observed over the past three years. Meanwhile, silver demand is supported by strong industrial usage in solar panels, electric vehicles, and semiconductors, with long-term deficits forecast in the physical silver market.

With macro-driven demand for gold, technology-driven silver consumption, and strong institutional buying across both metals, Lahontan is uniquely positioned to capitalize through its portfolio of oxide-focused projects in a top-tier jurisdiction—offering near-term production potential and longer-term resource expansion.

Leadership Team

LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) is a Canadian exploration and development company advancing the district-scale Swanson Gold Project in Québec’s prolific Abitibi Gold Belt and progressing toward the near-term restart of gold production at its wholly owned Beacon Gold Mill. The company’s strategy centers on consolidating strategic land packages—highlighted by its flagship Swanson Gold Project, a 160 km² district-scale property that includes several prospects rich in gold and critical metals previously held by Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. The company is leveraging its 100%-owned, fully permitted and recently refurbished Beacon Gold Mill to transition from explorer to near-term gold producer—a key inflection point that typically triggers a market re-rating, further bolstered by current rising gold market prices. By processing material from Swanson and offering custom milling to regional projects, LaFleur aims to generate cash flow with minimal capital outlay, targeting annual gold production of up to 15,000 to 20,000 ounces by early 2026.

LaFleur’s vision is to evolve into an intermediate gold producer by capitalizing on strong market conditions and Québec’s rich mining infrastructure. The location, in the world-class Abitibi Gold Belt, and its infrastructure advantage, positions LaFleur for regional consolidation, strategic partnerships, or acquisition interest. Its mission emphasizes efficient value creation through methodical exploration, low-cost asset advancement, and opportunistic acquisitions—including land and deposits from Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining.

Québec ranks among the world’s top mining jurisdictions, offering access to flow-through capital and regulatory stability. LaFleur’s integrated strategy—combining exploration at Swanson, a permitted mill at Beacon, and potential custom milling agreements—supports a streamlined path to near-term production.

LaFleur Minerals is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Projects

LaFleur Minerals’ operations focus on two strategically located assets in the Abitibi Gold Belt: the Swanson Gold Project and the Beacon Gold Mill and Mine. These projects leverage the region’s world-class mining infrastructure and high-grade gold potential to drive the company’s transition to production.

Swanson Gold Project

The Swanson Gold Project spans 16,600 hectares and hosts the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits along a major structural break in the Abitibi Gold Belt. The 2024 Mineral Resource Estimate for the Swanson deposit outlines 123,400 oz of gold in Indicated category (2.1 million tonnes at 1.8 g/t) and 64,500 oz in Inferred category (872,000 tonnes at 2.3 g/t). Located 66 km north of Val-d’Or, the Project is accessible by road and rail and benefits from more than 36,000 meters of historical drilling, along with existing infrastructure including an 80-meter decline portal.

Recent work—including airborne magnetics, soil sampling, and Induced Polarization surveys—has identified multiple high-priority targets and resulted in several high-grade gold assay results, including a grab sample grading 11.71 g/t Au at Jolin, which points to significant upside as the Company prepares to test multiple new zones.

LaFleur has defined over 50 drill targets at Swanson and nearby prospects (Bartec, Jolin, Marimac) and is completing a minimum 5,000-metre diamond drilling beginning in June 2025. LaFleur Minerals has also initiated permitting for a 100,000-tonne surface bulk sample averaging 1.89 g/t Au, which it plans to process at the Beacon Gold Mill as part of a near-term production strategy.

Beacon Gold Mill

LaFleur’s 100%-owned Beacon Gold Mill is a fully refurbished and permitted mill and tailings storage facility capable of processing 750 tonnes per day (tpd), with potential expansion to 1,800 tpd, with access to numerous nearby gold deposits that could be prime sources of ore. Located only 60 km from Swanson, it underwent a $20 million upgrade by Monarch Mining in 2022 and has been under care and maintenance since early 2023. LaFleur is finalizing a C$5-6 million restart plan, ramping up production by late 2025 into early 2026, processing Swanson mineralized material and assessing custom milling opportunities for regional deposits, creating multiple potential revenue streams.

The Beacon Gold Mill is a de-risked, proven asset that benefits from existing infrastructure, including access to roads, power, and skilled labor, and further enhances the overall value proposition of LaFleur by providing a clear path to production and potential revenue-generation.

Market Opportunity

LaFleur Minerals is targeting the gold mining and processing market in Québec’s Abitibi Gold Belt, one of the world’s most productive gold regions. Its fully permitted Beacon Gold Mill, with a 750 tpd capacity and authorization to process 1.8 million tonnes of tailings, is strategically positioned to handle material from LaFleur’s Swanson Gold Project and to offer custom milling for nearby deposits such as Granada Gold. The company projects annual production of over 30,000 ounces of gold once in full production, with potential for significant revenue generation based on prevailing market prices.

Global demand for gold remains robust, driven by geopolitical risk, inflation hedging, and central bank accumulation. The World Gold Council forecasts 3-5% annual demand growth through 2030, with average prices expected between $3,200 and $3,500/oz. Within this environment, Québec’s top-tier mining jurisdiction—ranked fifth globally by the Fraser Institute in 2023—offers streamlined permitting and access to flow-through capital. LaFleur’s low-cost Beacon restart (C$5-6 million) and proximity to more than 100 active and historical mines position the company to fill a growing need for small-to-medium scale custom milling.

At Swanson, LaFleur plans to grow its current 187,900-ounce resource toward 1 million ounces through its 2025 drilling program. This hub-and-spoke strategy, leveraging centralized milling and strong local infrastructure, reduces development risk and strengthens LaFleur’s foothold in one of the most attractive gold belts in the world.

Platinum Group Metals Ltd. (TSX: PTM) (NYSE American: PLG)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Platinum Group Metals Ltd. (TSX: PTM) (NYSE American: PLG).

By the end of last week, the price of gold had dropped to $3,368. Despite the drop, the global economic backdrop continues to favor the precious metal, with rising geopolitical tensions and increasing demand from central banks providing support. Results from an annual survey conducted by the World Gold Council also highlight increasing interest in gold accumulation. Seventy-three central banks participated in the survey, with 40% of them revealing that they planned to increase their gold holdings over the next year. 72% of central banks also expect gold's share in global reserves to grow over the next 5 years, the primary motivations for the increase being the precious metal's hedging capabilities against inflation, value retention, and diversification benefits, among others. Israel officials note that the operation was carried out in close collaboration with the U.S. According to U.S. General Dan Caine, 14 ‘bunker buster' bombs were dropped on the target areas. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth added that this operation didn't target the Iranian people or the country's troops, noting that their objective wasn't and hadn't been about changing the regime. Regardless, it is unlikely there's much room for diplomacy left between the United States and Iran now. It remains to be seen how the situation will progress and how gold will perform as a result. Given that geopolitical risks and conflicts drive investors towards safe haven investments like gold, it is likely that the price of the precious metal could continue its climb. Companies like Platinum Group Metals Ltd. (NYSE American: PLG) (TSX: PTM) could benefit from this growing interest in gold.

Platinum Group Metals Ltd. (NYSE American: PLG) (TSX: PTM) is the operator of the Waterberg Project, a bulk underground platinum group metals (PGM) deposit discovered by Platinum Group in 2011 and located on the Northern Limb of the Bushveld Complex in South Africa. The Waterberg Project is planned as a fully mechanised platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold mine, including by-product copper and nickel production, and is projected to be one of the largest and lowest cost PGM mines globally.

The project is a joint venture between Platinum Group; integrated PGM producer Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. (OTCQX: IMPUY); Japanese consortium HJ Platinum, which includes trading house Hanwa Co. and the government-backed Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC); and local empowerment partner Mnombo Wethu Consultants (Pty) Ltd. Platinum Group has an effective 50.22% interest in the Waterberg Project.

The company’s primary business objective is to advance the Waterberg Project to a development and construction decision. An update to the 2019 Definite Feasibility Study is expected in 2024.

PGMs are essential and precious metals that include platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, osmium and ruthenium. These metals are known for their purity, high melting points and unique catalytic properties. They are utilized in a number of industrial processes, technologies and commercial applications and play a critical role in autocatalysis and pollution control in the automotive sector. The bulk of global PGMs are mined in Southern Africa and Russia.

The unique properties of PGMs are being applied to various technologies as possible solutions for more efficient energy generation and storage, which may create new demand for PGMs. The company’s battery technology initiative through Lion Battery Technologies Inc., using platinum and palladium in lithium battery technologies, represents one such new opportunity in the high-profile lithium battery research and innovation field.

Platinum Group Metals Ltd. founded Lion Battery Technologies Inc. in partnership with Anglo American Platinum Ltd. (AMS: JNB) to support the use of palladium and platinum in lithium battery applications. Lion Battery has entered into an agreement with Florida International University to further advance a research program that uses platinum and palladium to unlock the potential of Lithium Sulfur (Li-S) battery chemistries.

Platinum Group is headquartered in Vancouver, B.C., and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Waterberg Project

Platinum Group’s sole material mineral property, the Waterberg Project, is presently in process with pre-construction permitting; engineering work, including road upgrade and traffic studies; finalization of power and water infrastructure design; and construction camp design.

The company’s principal product from the Waterberg Project is planned to be a PGM-bearing concentrate. The concentrate will contain economic amounts of six elements comprising platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold, copper and nickel. The company’s partner in the Waterberg Project, Impala Platinum Holdings, has acquired a right of first refusal to enter into an offtake agreement, on commercial arm’s-length terms, for the smelting and refining of mineral products from the Waterberg Project.

The Waterberg project has proven and estimated reserves of 19.5 million ounces of PGMs and gold. When fully operational, the mine is projected to produce more than 400,000 ounces of PGMs annually during the peak period of steady state production. The life of the mine is projected at 45 years.

South Africa’s PGM mining sector remains closely tied to economic developments in the global automotive industry, which in 2022 accounted for approximately 43% of the total global demand for platinum and 82% of the total global demand for palladium.

Market Opportunity

According to a report from Straits Research, a global market and business research firm, the worldwide platinum market had an estimated value of $7.72 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach $11.95 billion by 2031. That represents a CAGR of 5.13% over the forecast period.

Platinum, one of the rarest of precious metals, is about 30 times scarcer than gold. It is crucial to the automotive and electronics industries and is also used to make jewelry. Stricter emissions regulations around the world have led to an increased demand for platinum to be used in catalytic converters to reduce automotive emission, the report states.

A report from Allied Market Research estimated the global palladium market at $16.3 billion in 2021 and projects the market will reach $28.6 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 5.8% over the period.

Palladium is also used in automotive catalytic converters for reducing emissions and in jewelry, dentistry, watchmaking, blood sugar test strips, aircraft spark plugs, surgical instruments, electrical contacts and musical instruments.

An increase in demand for consumer electronics has driven demand for palladium-based multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) used to store energy in electronic devices such as broadcasting equipment, mobile telephones, computers, electronic lighting and high voltage circuits, according to the report.

SolarBank Corp. (Cboe CA: SUNN) (FSE: GY2) (NASDAQ: SUUN)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight SolarBank Corp. (Cboe CA: SUNN) (FSE: GY2) (NASDAQ: SUUN).

Solar energy is swiftly becoming one of the largest sources of clean energy in the world. With solar infrastructure prices falling by more than 99% over the past couple of decades, the cost of deploying photovoltaic solar panels is the lowest it has ever been. With solar energy playing an increasingly dominant role in global energy generation, here are some key facts you should know about solar: Photovoltaic solar systems have incredibly high safety margins. While there may be some safety risks involved in huge solar projects with massive battery banks, an individual installing a couple of solar panels on their roof has nothing to worry about, safety-wise. According to data collected by SolarPower Europe in Germany from 1993 to 2013, solar panels have a 0.006% to 0.014% risk of catching fire, significantly lower than most household appliances. Solar energy can help the U.S. build a resilient energy system. Since solar energy generation is decentralized, it is often located next to end users and doesn't have to be transported for miles or hundreds of miles before it is used, cutting line losses during energy transmission. The increased proliferation of both rooftop and utility-scale solar installations, coupled with stationary storage, will also reduce the strain placed on America's electric grid, particularly now that energy demand is surging, and help the country build a flexible, resilient, and stable energy grid. Companies like SolarBank Corp. The company’s vertically integrated approach spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial site acquisition and grid interconnection to long-term operation and maintenance services. This ensures seamless execution and high-quality outcomes, providing value to stakeholders and supporting the transition to a clean energy future.

Market Opportunity

SolarBank operates within a growing renewable energy market driven by global demand for sustainable power solutions. In North America, favorable policies such as the Inflation Reduction Act in the United States and Canada’s investments in green technologies provide a robust foundation for renewable energy adoption. Solar PV installations and battery energy storage systems are at the forefront of this expansion, addressing energy reliability and grid stability while reducing carbon emissions.

The North American solar PV market was valued at $25.02 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach $120.74 billion by 2027, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21.7% from 2020 to 2027. Likewise, the global BESS market is expected to expand from $7.8 billion in 2024 to $25.6 billion by 2029, at a CAGR of 26.9%, as reported by MarketsandMarkets. These trends are driven by the increasing integration of renewable energy sources, the need for grid resilience, and declining technology costs.

SolarBank’s operations have it well-positioned to capitalize on these opportunities. With a development pipeline exceeding one gigawatt (GW), the company is focused on meeting growing demand in community and commercial solar sectors. Decentralized energy solutions, such as virtual net metering and behind-the-meter systems, further enhance SolarBank’s market potential by addressing the critical need for flexible, cost-effective, and sustainable energy infrastructure. By leveraging its vertically integrated model and diversified portfolio, SolarBank stands as a key player in driving the renewable energy transition.

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight CNS Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: CNSP).

CNS Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: CNSP) announced the release of a Virtual Investor KOL Connect segment featuring Dr. Erin Dunbar, Director of Neuro-Oncology at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and founding physician of its Brain Tumor Center. Dr. Dunbar discussed the patient journey and current treatment options for Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), highlighting CNS's lead product candidate, TPI 287, and its therapeutic potential for GBM and future metastatic tumor indications.

CNS Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: CNSP) is a clinical stage biotechnology company specializing in the development of novel treatments for primary and metastatic cancers of the brain and central nervous system.

The company was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Organ Targeted Therapeutics

The company’s lead drug candidate, Berubicin, is proposed for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (“GBM”), an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer. Berubicin also has potential to treat other central nervous system malignancies. Based on limited clinical data, Berubicin appears to be the first anthracycline to cross the blood brain barrier in the adult brain, and it was the subject of a successful Phase 1 study which found the MDT and produced efficacy data as well.

CNS holds a worldwide exclusive license to the Berubicin chemical compound. The company has acquired all requisite data and know-how from Reata Pharmaceuticals Inc. related to a completed Phase I clinical trial of Berubicin in malignant brain tumors. In this trial, 44% of patients experienced a statistically significant improvement in clinical benefit. In 2017, CNS entered into a collaboration and asset purchase agreement with Reata.

CNS intends to explore the potential of Berubicin to treat other diseases, including pancreatic and ovarian cancers and lymphoma. The company is also examining plans to develop combination therapies that include Berubicin.

CNS estimates that more than $25 million in private capital and grants were invested in Berubicin prior to the company’s $9.8 million IPO in November 2019.

CNS intends to submit an IND for Berubicin during the fourth quarter of 2020 and expects to commence a Phase II clinical trial of Berubicin for the treatment of GBM in the U.S. in Q1 2021. A sub-licensee partner was awarded a $6 million EU/Polish National Center for Research and Development grant to undertake a Phase II trial of Berubicin in adults and a first-ever Phase I trial in pediatric GBM patients in Poland in 2021.

The company’s second drug candidate, WP1244, is a novel DNA binding agent licensed from the MD Anderson Cancer Center. In preclinical studies, WP1244 proved to be 500-times more potent than the chemotherapeutic agent, daunorubicin, in inhibiting tumor cell proliferation. The company has entered into a sponsored research agreement with the MD Anderson Cancer Center to further the development of WP1244.

CNS Pharmaceuticals recently engaged U.S.-based Pharmaceutics International Inc. and Italian BSP Pharmaceuticals SpA for the production of the Berubicin drug product. The company has implemented a dual-track manufacturing strategy to mitigate COVID-19-related risks, diversify its supply chain and provide for localized availability of Berubicin. CNS has already completed synthesis of Berubicin’s active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and has shipped the API to both manufacturers in order to prepare an injectable form of Berubicin for clinical use.

Global Brain Tumor Therapeutics Market

The high recurrence rate of malignant brain tumors is due to reappearance of focal masses, indicating that a sub-population of tumor cells in these cancers may be insensitive to current therapies and may be responsible for reinitiating tumor growth. This necessitates the development of newer drugs in the market that demonstrate greater efficacy in treating such aggressive cancers.

A global increase in neurological disorders has placed increased attention on cancers of the brain over the past decade. Neurological disorders are becoming one of the most prevalent types of disorders, due to longer life expectancy, greater exposure to infection and an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. Because few treatments for primary and metastatic cancers of the brain exist, costs are high and have acted as a restraint for the brain tumor therapeutics market.

Despite progress in surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapeutic strategies, effective treatments for brain cancer are limited by a lack of specific therapies for the brain and the difficulty in transporting therapeutic compounds across the blood brain barrier. Therefore, there is a significant need for novel and effective therapeutic drugs and strategies that prolong survival and improve quality of life for brain tumor patients.

Several companies are making significant investments into R&D, which is expected to bring more treatment options to the market in the near future. Industry reports consistently project continued growth in the market.

One report estimates that the global brain tumor therapeutics market will reach a valuation of $2.74 billion in 2023, with the market expected to register a CAGR of 11% during the forecast period from 2018 to 2023. Another report projects that the global brain tumor therapeutics market will reach $3.4 billion by 2025, up from $2.25 billion in 2019 (https://nnw.fm/eDUjp).

Brera Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: BREA) is an Ireland-based, international holding company focused on expanding its global portfolio of men’s and women’s sports clubs through a multi-club ownership approach. The company capitalizes on opportunities to earn tournament prizes, secure sponsorships, collect transfer fees, provide professional sports consulting services, and enhance the valuation of its clubs.

Brera Holdings builds on the legacy of Brera FC, an international football club (referred to as soccer in the U.S.), that it acquired in July 2022. Established in 2000 and based in Milan, Italy, Brera FC has distinguished itself by cultivating an alternative football legacy. In October 2024, the Internet Marketing Association awarded Brera FC with the Social Impact Through Soccer accolade at its IMPACT 5050 Conference, recognizing the club’s global perspective and positive contributions to society.

The company’s growth strategy focuses on unlocking value from undervalued sports clubs and talent, driving innovation, and generating socially impactful outcomes. Brera Holdings is actively expanding its Global Sports Group, acquiring professional football and other sports clubs in emerging markets such as Africa, Asia, and Europe.

By targeting top-division teams in less mainstream markets, Brera Holdings aims to strengthen its competitive position in regional tournaments, including those organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). These acquisitions are expected to enhance sponsorship revenues and create new growth opportunities.

Leveraging its expertise in capital raising and revenue generation, Brera Holdings also anticipates growing demand for its consulting services, providing advisory support to sports clubs, associations, investors, and others. Brera Holdings is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, with additional offices in Milan, Italy.

Sporting Assets

Brera Holdings continues to grow its global sports portfolio with a series of strategic acquisitions and innovations, including the FENIX Trophy Tournament, a pan-European, non-professional football competition. Launched in September 2021 and organized by Brera FC, the tournament has been recognized by UEFA and described by BBC Sport as “the Champions League for amateurs.” In 2023, Brera FC hosted the tournament’s finals at Milan’s iconic San Siro Stadium.

In March 2023, Brera Holdings expanded into Africa by establishing Brera Tchumene FC in Mozambique. Starting in the country’s Second Division League, the team quickly earned promotion to Moçambola, Mozambique’s First Division League, by November 2023.

In April 2023, Brera Holdings further strengthened its European presence by acquiring a 90% stake in Fudbalski Klub Akademija Pandev, a first-division football team in North Macedonia. This acquisition provides access to two major UEFA competitions, solidifying the company’s position in European football.

Brera Holdings’ reach extends beyond football. In July 2023, it acquired majority ownership of UYBA Volley, an Italian Serie A1 women’s professional volleyball team, demonstrating its commitment to diversifying within top-tier sports.

In September 2023, Brera Holdings entered the Mongolian football market by acquiring Bayanzurkh Sporting Ilch FC, a Mongolian National Premier League team. For the 2024 season, the club was rebranded as Brera Ilch FC, further expanding Brera’s global footprint.

In January 2024, Brera Holdings initiated a proactive search for an Italian Serie B football club, aligning with its goal of bringing multi-club ownership opportunities to mass investors through its Nasdaq-listed shares.

In February 2024, the Brera Holdings Advisory Board was established with MLS founder and World Cup director Alan Rothenberg, luxury lifestyle executive Massimo Ferragamo, sports business leaders Paul Tosetti and Marshall Geller, and Italian football icon Giuseppe Rossi.

In June 2024, the North Macedonian women’s football club Tiverija Strumica officially became part of the Brera family with the establishment of a joint-stock company controlled by Brera Holdings called Women’s Football Club Tiverija Brera AD Strumica (“Brera Tiverija”). Brera Tiverija is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brera Strumica FC.

In September 2024 Brera announced that it signed an exclusive letter of intent to acquire an Italian Serie B club (the “LOI” and the “Club”). According to a CFA report published in June 2024, this expected strategic transaction, for an estimated purchase price of $21.6 million, would add first-year annual revenue of $10.8 million to Brera, and that revenue would likely increase by 25% each year for the next three years. The company’s capital valuation, projected the report, would also experience significant appreciation during this period.

In October 2024, Brera was recognized with the 2024 Social Impact Through Soccer Award at IMPACT 5050, an annual event honoring leaders and innovators who significantly impact their industries and communities. This is the second time Brera has won the award.

Market Opportunity

A report from IMARC Group, a global management consulting firm, reveals that the international football market generated approximately $3.3 billion in revenue in 2023, with projections to grow to $4.6 billion by 2032, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.6%. Key drivers behind this growth include advancements in digitization, increasing sponsorship and partnership deals between brands and clubs, the rising interest in women’s professional soccer leagues, and the expansion of the e-sports and gaming sector.

In particular, Serie B Italian football clubs seem to present exceptionally attractive investment opportunities. As of September 2024, more than half of these clubs had appreciated between 80-100% in total market value, post-purchase.

As the world’s most-watched and most-played sport, soccer drives significant demand for football-related products and services, contributing to market growth. Broadcasting rights, sponsorships, and endorsement deals are also major revenue sources for clubs and organizations, with an expanding global fanbase generating new opportunities for financial growth, according to the report.

Calidi Biotherapeutics Inc. (NYSE American: CLDI)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Calidi Biotherapeutics Inc. (NYSE American: CLDI).

An ongoing clinical trial at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at UC Davis seeks to find out whether fermented wheat germ could help cancer patients undergoing immunotherapy have better outcomes and live full lives, or even beat cancer. This pioneering study is being conducted by Joseph Tuscano, an oncologist specializing in blood cancers like multiple myeloma, leukemia and lymphoma. This research is being funded by the family of a patient who succumbed to cancer but had previously shown remarkable improvement after using fermented wheat germ to supplement his immunotherapy. The Veterans Administration is also funding the study. Currently, the researchers are enrolling patients to take part in the clinical trial. The team hopes to learn how this extract modulates the microbiome in order to empower the immune system to be better at fighting cancer while also repairing body tissues. Other entities like Calidi Biotherapeutics Inc. (NYSE American: CLDI) are also undertaking their own R&D programs aimed at commercializing immune therapies against different forms of cancer. The future of cancer care looks bright in light of all the resources being invested in personalizing cancer treatment using immunotherapy.

Calidi Biotherapeutics Inc. (NYSE American: CLDI) is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company pioneering proprietary technology that empowers the immune system to combat cancer. Calidi’s innovative, off-the-shelf cell-based platforms use allogeneic stem cells to deliver potent oncolytic viruses (OVs) across multiple oncology indications, including high-grade glioma (brain cancers) and solid tumors. In addition, Calidi has presented a breakthrough systemic technology, RTNova, which utilizes an exteracellular enveloped virotherapy. RTNova is pre-clinical and has been extremely well-received by market analysts and large-cap biopharma – opening the door for potential collaboration.

These cell-based platforms are engineered to protect, amplify, and enhance the efficacy of oncolytic viruses, resulting in improved patient safety and potentially advancing treatment outcomes for metastatic disease. By employing a dual approach that combines OV delivery with immune activation, Calidi’s therapies aim to not only treat but potentially prevent the spread of metastatic cancers.

The company’s development pipeline leverages this technology to address pressing needs in cancers such as glioblastoma (brain cancer), metastatic melanoma, triple-negative breast cancer, head & neck cancer, and lung cancer. Calidi’s approach has shown early signals of efficacy and safety, establishing it as a distinctive player in the growing OV market, which is projected to increase significantly in value over the next decade.

Calidi is headquartered in San Diego, California.

Products

Calidi’s product pipeline includes advanced cell-based platforms targeting a variety of oncology indications, each designed to harness the power of oncolytic virotherapy for improved cancer treatment outcomes.

  • NeuroNova (CLD-101): A platform designed for treating high-grade gliomas (HGG), NeuroNova employs neuronal stem cells combined with an engineered adenovirus (CRAD-s-Pk7) to selectively target glioma cells. After a successful Phase 1 safety study in newly diagnosed HGG, NeuroNova has now progressed into Phase 1/1b trials for recurrent cases. FDA clearance for a Phase 1b/2 trial at Northwestern University was received in September 2024, with patient enrollment expected to begin in Q1 2025. This trial will utilize multiple-dose intracerebral administration to maximize safety and efficacy in newly diagnosed HGG patients.
  • SuperNova (CLD-201): Built on Calidi’s foundational technology, SuperNova utilizes an engineered Vaccinia virus (CAL1) delivered via allogeneic adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells to target advanced solid tumors, including head & neck, triple-negative breast cancer, and soft tissue sarcomas. Early studies with autologous stem cells demonstrated both safety and promising efficacy, and Calidi plans to begin a Phase 1 trial with multiple dose regimens for SuperNova in the coming months.
  • RTNova (CLD-400): Calidi’s systemic delivery platform for lung and metastatic cancers, RTNova employs an extracellular enveloped virotherapy (envRT-01) technology for intravenous (IV) administration, simplifying the treatment process and expanding its potential applications. Currently in preclinical stages, RTNova focuses on demonstrating efficacy and safety through systemic administration. A clinical trial targeting metastatic lung cancer is anticipated for Q2 2026, using a single-arm monotherapy with dose escalation. Calidi has partnered with SIGA Technologies (NASDAQ: SIGA) to support the development of this program.

Market Opportunity

The global oncology drugs market was valued at $201.75 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow to $518.25 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of 11.3%. The oncolytic virotherapy market in particular is growing rapidly, driven by increasing approval rates and significant unmet needs.

The market for OV treatments is expected to expand from one approved product generating $150 million in the U.S. in 2021 to 6-8 approved therapies generating $2.4 billion by 2030. As a leader in OV technology, Calidi is well-positioned to address these high-demand areas in oncology.

Alongside global trends, the American Cancer Society projects nearly two million new cancer diagnoses in the U.S. in 2024, reflecting a 28% increase since 2010. This underscores the urgent need for novel therapies that not only treat disease progression but also enhance patient quality of life, reinforcing the demand for Calidi’s innovative approaches.

  • Cost Savings for Hotel Operators – Reducing labor costs and improving operational efficiency.
  • Scalability & Standardization – Offering a streamlined, subscription-based RaaS model for seamless automation adoption.
  • Industry Leadership in Hotel Robotics – Driving the transformation of hospitality with AI-powered automation solutions.

Future Vision & Growth Strategy

Over the next three to five years, NGTF is committed to scaling both its hotel portfolio and RaaS adoption. By refining and optimizing its automation technologies in its own properties, NGTF will continue deploying RaaS to third-party hotel operators, positioning itself as a leader in next-generation hospitality automation.

Through strategic acquisitions and AI-driven solutions, NGTF is defining the future of smart hotels—delivering cost-efficient, scalable automation that reshapes the hospitality landscape.

Team Expertise as a Strategic Advantage

In addition to technology and real estate, NGTF’s most powerful asset is its team. The company’s leadership and operating partners bring deep expertise in both hospitality and food service, having collectively developed over 50 properties, managed more than 130 hotels, and supported more than 6,000 quick-service restaurants.

This wealth of experience enables NGTF to execute its automation and acquisition strategy with operational discipline, industry insight, and scale—further strengthening its position in next-generation hospitality.

Investment Considerations
  • Dual Growth Strategy – NGTF combines hotel acquisitions with AI-powered automation, creating an integrated model that maximizes operational efficiency and revenue potential.
  • Expanding Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) – Subscription-based robotic automation solutions designed to reduce operational costs and address labor shortages for hotel operators.
  • Strategic Hotel Acquisitions – Acquiring a variety of hospitality assets, from midscale to luxury, to serve as testing grounds for AI-driven automation and to drive profitability.
  • Proven Market Demand – Rising labor costs and increasing adoption of service robotics are fueling demand for automation in hospitality, positioning NGTF as an early leader in the sector.
  • Scalable & Revenue-Generating Model – By owning hotels and offering RaaS to third-party operators, NGTF is building a diversified, high-growth business model.
