Bit Digital Inc. (BTBT)

MarketClub Analysis, StocksEarning, QualityStocks, Schaeffer's, TradersPro, StockEarnings, MarketBeat, InvestorPlace and Daily Trade Alert reported earlier on Bit Digital Inc. (BTBT), and today we highlight the Company, here at the QualityStocks Daily Newsletter.

In a recent announcement, technology giant Samsung revealed that it was turning to blockchain tech in its bid to develop an additional security layer to its smart devices and consumer electronics. The new blockchain network, dubbed Knox Matrix, is designed to operate as an independent network whose sole purpose is to give millions of Samsung device users the added security and protection that they need.

The company revealed that the blockchain network would be operational on all Samsung devices regardless of the operating system running those gadgets. This means that devices having Tizen, Android or other operating systems would all be eligible to receive the software development kit (SDK) intended to conduct analytics with a view to improving the security of the user of any Samsung device.

The announcement emphasizes that all the connected Samsung devices of a user will monitor one another through the blockchain’s distributed ledger so that threats or potential vulnerabilities can be quickly detected and thwarted. The monitoring will be multilayered.

The company aims to allow users to increase their level of connectivity without sacrificing their security. The Knox Matrix makes this possible by creating an ecosystem encompassing all the connected devices of an individual user and then bringing to bear various security protocols in order to keep threats at bay.

While launching Knox Matrix, Samsung announced that it was working with Google in order to make the experiences of smart/connected homes even better. This collaboration increases the flexibility afforded to users because there will be a seamless interaction between Google and Samsung devices in a connected home.

Interestingly, the Knox Matrix project isn’t Samsung’s maiden entry into the blockchain world.  The company has been active as a participant in numerous funding rounds by entities within the web3 segment. Samsung holds considerable ownership stakes in several notable blockchain companies, including Sky Mavis, Animoca Brands and Yuga Labs. When tech companies are ranked based on how sizeable their investment in blockchain and web3 businesses is, Samsung comes in first among the top 40 technology companies, including Alphabet (the parent company of Google) as well as Microsoft.

When Samsung’s investments in the blockchain space are analyzed, it is clear that the Korean tech firm is largely focused on web3 social media platforms along with gaming and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

As these major tech companies deepen their involvement in the blockchain space, they give the industry added credibility among members of the public that are still skeptical about the prospects of this industry. With time, a growing number of people will end up paying attention to companies, including Bit Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: BTBT), that are at the forefront of taking blockchain applications to the layperson on the street.

Bit Digital Inc. (BTBT), closed Monday's trading session at $1.02, off by 2.8571%, on 821,206 volume. The average volume for the last 3 months is 3.617M and the stock's 52-week low/high is $0.94/$14.25.

Electric vehicles are still a relative novelty, and many potential buyers of these vehicles worry about how they can get the longest life possible from these vehicles. Given the high price of EVs, who wouldn’t want to squeeze the most benefit from such a possession? We discuss some recommendations that can help you prolong the service life of your electric vehicle.

Avoid temperature extremes

Conditions that are too hot or too cold will quicken the deterioration of an EV battery, so it is advisable to limit the extent to which your vehicle is exposed to those extremes. Many automakers equip electric vehicles with auxiliary cooling as well heating systems, but owners should only resort to those options when it is unavoidable. For instance, avoid parking your EV outside during winter because the cold will shorten battery life.

Limit your use of fast chargers

During a road trip, it is inevitable that you will rely on fast chargers to juice up your EV and be on your way. However, experts recommend that you use slower charging systems as often as you can to maintain battery integrity. Fast charging is associated with more heat generation, and that heat degrades battery life a little faster.

That said, researchers are working to develop technologies that can charge EVs super fast while minimizing heat generation. Until such technologies are widely available, avoid using fast chargers as your default or preferred way to charge the vehicle.

Avoid total battery depletion or charging to 100%

In general, electric vehicle batteries (and most other batteries) shouldn’t be drained to zero or charged to 100%. This is because those extremes quicken battery degradation. Some manufacturers have even equipped their EVs with systems to prevent charging to 100% or depleting to zero so that the expected battery life is maintained.

As an EV owner, monitor the charge level of your battery and juice up when the battery reaches 20% or stop charging when it reaches 80% to 90% charge level.

Pay attention to the cooling system

Electric vehicles also have cooling systems, and these play an important role in keeping the vehicle’s moving components within the desired temperature range to avoid premature aging. Some EVs have a coolant fluid while others use more sophisticated methods to keep the vehicle cool. Read the user manual and replace or flush the cooling system at the intervals recommended by the manufacturer. For example, Ford recommends that owners of the F-150 Lightning check the cooling system every six months.

Just as with gas-powered vehicles, EVs require tire rotation and replacement, brake pad and brake fluid maintenance, and so on. Overall, EVs are less costly to maintain given their fewer moving parts, but always read the manual provided by the different manufacturers such as Fisker Inc. (NYSE: FSR) so that you know exactly what the electric vehicle you own requires in terms of periodic maintenance.

Fisker Inc. (FSR), closed Monday's trading session at $7.51, off by 0.132979%, on 3,680,879 volume. The average volume for the last 3 months is 3.246M and the stock's 52-week low/high is $6.41/$23.75.

Finally, Silo signed an agreement with Columbia University granting it an option to license certain assets currently under development, including an Alzheimer’s disease formulation targeting NDMARs and 5-HT4Rs, as well as a prophylactic treatment for stress-induced disorders and PTSD. Both candidates are currently being tested in mice and have already provided early data.

In addition to its university partnerships, Silo entered a joint venture agreement with Zylo Therapeutics Inc. (“ZTI”) focused on the development of ketamine and psilocybin using ZTI’s Z-Pod™ technology for the transdermal time released delivery of therapeutics. In November 2021, the company announced ZTI’s reception of its first ketamine shipment and initiation of loading ketamine into its Z-Pod technology. In a news release, Eric Weisblum, CEO of Silo, called the development an “important milestone” that will help the company “study the benefits of slow-release transdermal release of Ketamine.”

The I-GO bridges the gap between the growing demand for quick deliveries and space constraints found throughout the dense cities of Europe. “Securing the exclusive sales, distribution and branding rights in major European countries for a ready to market electric commercial delivery vehicle is a huge win for the company. The company plans on licensing its rights to established dealerships in these desirable European markets. Essentially, this transaction provides the company revenue generating opportunities, promotes and extends the company’s brand into other countries while at the same time allowing the company to remain fully focused on its mission of manufacturing its lineup of electric vehicles in the USA,” said David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive. “The goal has always been for Mullen to build a complete line of commercial electric vehicles, and we realized that one of the most critical issues today is inefficient last-mile delivery in urban markets. Odyssey Group International Inc. (OTC: ODYY)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Odyssey Group International Inc. (OTC: ODYY).

New research has discovered new information about how an experimental medication reverses neural damage linked to traumatic brain injuries. This discovery lays the foundation for a drug, which could help prevent the cognitive deficit that occurs after a concussion, to be developed in the future.

The research was carried out by a team of scientists at the University of California, San Francisco. The primary objective of the research was to explore the integrated stress response signaling pathway. Environmental stresses usually trigger this pathway, often causing facilities that produce proteins in the cells to shut down. For their study, the researchers initially focused on finding drugs that could block the integrated stress response (ISR) pathway in the brain as a way to treat neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. They discovered that a drug known as ISRIB could successfully improve cognition across various animal models of brain illnesses. As different companies, such as Odyssey Health Inc. (OTC: ODYY) , focus on developing targeted treatments for the complications resulting from concussions, the prospects of patients with this form of brain damage will keep improving.

Odyssey Group International Inc. (OTC: ODYY) is a medical technology company focused on developing lifesaving medical products that offer technological and clinical advantages over current standards of care.

The company’s portfolio of product technologies is diverse, featuring four unique medical products in development. Odyssey’s goal is to deliver superior products with enhanced clinical utility and market potential, thereby yielding a high rate of return for its shareholders and partners. It is guided by a senior management team with significant experience relating to refining technologies, building commercial systems and forging strategic partnerships.

Product Portfolio

Odyssey has two pharmaceutical products in development:

  • PRV-002 is a novel compound for the treatment of concussion, which currently has no FDA-approved drug. In pre-clinical studies, PRV-002 has been shown to significantly improve both neuroscore and memory score following injury in rats subjected to concussion models. Importantly, the first-in-class novel neurosteroid demonstrated no drug-related toxicity in these trials.
    • PRV-002 is currently being evaluated in a phase I clinical trial for the treatment of concussion, with phase II trials planned for launch in Fall 2022. Odyssey has also highlighted the potential of PRV-002 for additional indications such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, ALS and chromic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
  • PRV-001 is a novel compound intended to treat Niemann-Pick disease, a rare neurodegenerative-lysosomal storage disorder that affects an estimated 1 in 150,000 individuals in the U.S., demonstrating a 5x higher incidence in Middle Eastern populations.
    • Odyssey expects to receive Orphan Drug designation from the FDA for PRV-001, which would accelerate its pathway to FDA approval and provide seven years of market exclusivity.

Medical Devices

Odyssey is also developing two medical device candidates:

  • CardioMap® is intended to provide early, non-invasive testing for heart disease. The system offers a number of potential advantages over traditional EKGs, including requiring less training to operate, offering heightened sensitivity and coming in a small and portable form factor. CardioMap is being developed for a 510(k) regulatory pathway, which requires a study to demonstrate equivalence to legacy EKG offerings.
    • When approved, CardioMap is expected to be the only device in its class that has a predictive value, illustrating ‘grey’ areas where deterioration has begun but not yet led to pathology. Odyssey expects this feature to provide a powerful incentive for doctors to use the CardioMap device in end markets such as hospitals, doctors’ offices, rehabilitation centers and sports medicine practices.
  • Save-A-Life (SAL) is a patented, single-action, instantaneous, handheld, mechanical anti-choking device that creates a vacuum chamber in the mouth to dislodge throat obstructions in a matter of seconds, all without harm to the victim. The device is currently in development, with a proof of concept established.
    • Odyssey believes that, once FDA-approved, its anti-choking device will quickly become the “accepted” standard and leader in the treatment of choking incidents globally. Its low-cost manufacturing and convenient portable design give SAL a competitive edge over competing devices utilizing cumbersome masks.

Market Opportunities

Odyssey’s varied development pipeline positions it to address a number of sizable market opportunities with significant unmet medical need. Concussions alone currently account for medical costs of roughly $10-15 billion annually in the U.S., despite the lack of a currently approved FDA drug treatment. This need is particularly apparent in the military and sports industry, where the likelihood of athlete head-injury recurrence is estimated at 75%.

It is for this reason that, in March 2021, Odyssey announced the formation of a sports advisory board featuring well-known athletes supporting the company’s efforts to enhance public awareness of traumatic brain injuries and concussions, as well as the need for an FDA-approved therapy. Members of Odyssey’s sports advisory board include NFL Hall of Famers Kurt Warner & Brett Favre and two-time Olympic gold medalist Abby Wambach.

With its CardioMap platform, Odyssey is targeting the global cardiac monitoring market, which was valued at $28 billion in 2021 by Insight Partners and forecast to reach $43 billion by 2028.

Save-A-Life targets a similarly underserved market. Choking is the fourth-leading cause of death in children, and approximately 5,000 choking deaths occur each year in the U.S. While 95% of these deaths result from in-home incidents, current choking rescue devices fail to address in-home applications.

Management Team

Joseph Michael Redmond is the President, CEO and Chairman of Odyssey. He has over 30 years of commercial experience in medical device companies, previously serving as CEO of Parallax Health Sciences Inc., V.P. of Business Development for DxTech Inc. and V.P. of Sales and Marketing for Bioject Medical Technologies Inc. While at Bioject, Mr. Redmond helped raise over $15 million in capital, entered into several licensing and distribution deals with major biotech and pharmaceutical companies and grew the market cap of the company from under $10 million to over $400 million. He started his career at Abbott Labs and holds a B.A. from Denison University.

Christine M. Farrell is the company’s CFO and Secretary. Prior to joining Odyssey, Ms. Farrell was Vice President of Finance for Bioject Medical Technologies Inc. She also held accounting and financial management positions with Spar-Tek Industries, a manufacturer of high quality and cutting-edge technology for the plywood industry, and Action Machinery, a seller of new and used robotic machine tools and equipment. Ms. Farrell holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from Willamette University.

Dr. Jacob W. Vanlandingham is Odyssey’s Head of Drug Development. Dr. Vanlandingham holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience with a molecular biology focus. He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, American Society for Nutritional Sciences, National Neurotrauma Society, Faculty for Undergraduate Research in Neuroscience and the International Association of Medical Science Educators.

Odyssey Group International Inc. (OTC: ODYY), closed Monday's trading session at $0.321, up 3.4483%, on 72,400 volume. The average volume for the last 3 months is and the stock's 52-week low/high is $0.11/$0.64.

Reklaim Ltd. (TSX.V: MYID) (OTCQB: MYIDF)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Reklaim Ltd. (TSX.V: MYID) (OTCQB: MYIDF) .

  • The global cannabis market is expected to reach $27.7 billion in 2022, growing at a CAGR of 24.3% through 2027, resulting in an anticipated value of $82.3 billion during the
  • forecast period
  • REZYFi is positioned as one of the first cannabis mortgage bankers in the United States, using its experience, independent network of brokers, and proprietary technology, to expand alternative financing options in the industry
  • The company is currently licensed in 36 states with plans to expand in the future

California began paving the way for cannabis-related businesses in 1996 when voters passed the Compassionate Use Act, legalizing the medicinal use of cannabis. Today, the state has legalized medicinal and recreational use and offers resources for businesses looking to gain traction in the industry. The California cannabis industry is highly regulated to ensure businesses operate safely, provide contaminant-free products, inform purchasers, and keep cannabis away from children. The state has established statutes, regulations, and ordinances that work together to build and protect the cannabis industry for businesses and consumers.

Although cannabis is becoming accepted at the state level, there are still hurdles the industry must overcome due to federal regulations – primarily in the traditional banking industry. To succeed, businesses require the use of financial institutions to pay for expenses, save money, manage risk, finance operations, and more, financing which can be difficult for cannabis-related businesses to obtain.

The cannabis market is expected to reach a global value of $27.7 billion in 2022. By 2027, research indicates that this value could grow to $82.3 billion at a CAGR of 24.3% ( ). The market’s growth is attributed to legalization, with cannabis-related tourism expected to drive the trends of cannabis-related product offerings and destinations offering mass appeal to Gen Z consumers.

REZYFi , a growth mortgage origination and specialized financing company, is positioned as one of the first cannabis mortgage bankers in the US, an area most traditional lenders are reticent to serve. The company operates through two wholly-owned subsidiaries – REZYFi Lending and ResMac Inc. – offering solutions for emerging real estate-related financing opportunities and traditional mortgage origination, correspondent, and servicing.

Reklaim Ltd. (TSX.V: MYID) (OTCQB: MYIDF) offers a privacy-compliant identity ecosystem both online ( and via a mobile app on iOS and Android in the U.S and Canada. Reklaim believes that consumers own their data and, consequently, have the right to access their online data and choose how it is used, whether for compensation or privacy. Reklaim gives consumers visibility regarding how their data is collected and compensates them for its use, all while also providing advertisers and brands with a source of data compliant with emerging privacy regulations.

The company is driven by the evolution of privacy and how it impacts consumers and companies. Reklaim sells compliant, zero-party data to Fortune 500 brands, platforms, and data companies so that they can offset the risk of non-compliance. ‘Zero-party data’ is data that a consumer proactively and intentionally shares with an organization. This contrasts with ‘third-party data,’ which organizations have collected unbeknownst to consumers for more than 20 years. Zero-party data is the most valuable data in the US$200B data market, as it provides organizations with explicit consumer opt-in vs. through an intermediary such as a data broker.

Reklaim empowers consumers to take back control of their data. The company allows consumers to visit the platform, confirm their identity, and uncover their data that has been collected and sold for years without their explicit consent. Consumers can add, edit or delete data that is associated with their profile and choose which pieces of data they would be willing to share for weekly compensation. Reklaim is the only company in the world today providing consumers with both access to their data that is circulating in the market and a guaranteed weekly paycheck. Alternatively, for users who do not want to sell their data, users can choose to protect their data and subscribe to a suite of subscription-based (SaaS) privacy tools that obfuscate the location of their device when browsing on a mobile phone and alert them when a third-party source has leaked their data or passwords.

Reklaim was founded in 2018 and is based in New York, with offices in Toronto.

Business Model

Reklaim’s primary revenue-generating operations stem from selling consented consumer data to companies and resellers that need data that is compliant with all applicable consumer privacy laws and regulations, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Major Fortune 500 customers and enterprise data platforms have validated Reklaim’s zero-party data and have added this data to their marketplaces and decision-making. Reklaim has sales across three core verticals: brands and agencies that buy advertising, platforms that sell data to Fortune 500 clients, and companies whose primary business is selling data to business customers.

  • Companies & Agencies that Buy Advertising – These customers use Reklaim’s compliant data to inform their media decisions in social, connected television, programmatic and other verticals. Sales cycles are short at about 30 days. Reklaim customers in this segment are Microsoft, Amgen, Bayer, UPS, and Hasbro, to name a few.
  • Platforms that Sell Data – Reklaim has integrated its zero-party data into 15 of the largest enterprise data platforms in the world. These platforms act as the ‘grocery stores’ of data, where the Fortune 500 come to make their data purchases. Reklaim’s data has been validated and added to these platforms, providing ubiquitous distribution of Reklaim data across the data ecosystem. Due to data quality verification and technical requirements, sales cycles are typically longer, about 60-90 days. Customers include LiveRamp, Transunion, Google, The Trade Desk, Lotame, and T-Mobile.
  • Data Companies that Sell Data – These customers need to purchase compliant data to continue offering data to their clients. Sales cycles often last 90-120 days, but these contracts are typically annual, have the highest value, and auto-renew. An example is Nielsen, the television measurement company.

Market Outlook

The data industry, valued at $245 billion in the U.S. and more than $400 billion globally, is being disrupted, and Reklaim is positioned to benefit from the destructive shift.

The disruption is driven by two factors: (1) technology is reducing access to core data that the industry has become dependent upon, and (2) government intervention is emerging through laws and regulations intended to protect consumer data privacy.

Over the past 20 years, the data industry has harvested and exploited consumer data without consumers’ express consent. However, the legal and regulatory environment surrounding consumer data acquisition is rapidly evolving, placing the consumer at the center of emerging privacy policies.

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was rolled out in 2019, followed shortly by the CCPA and the California Privacy Rights Act. More recently, the Canadian Privacy Protection Act, Brazil’s General Data Protection Law, India’s Information Technology Act, and South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information have continued the trend. As a result, industries and companies currently relying on unconsented consumer data will experience a regulation-driven disruptive migration, forcing them sooner rather than later to use only fully consented data sources. This consumer data environment is driving companies to Reklaim to replace their current data providers.

While privacy policies continue to iterate to include the consumer, Big Tech, namely Apple and Google, are increasingly removing data from the market that brands and companies have relied on. Apple’s introduction of Advanced Ad Tracing (ATT) has impacted companies’ ability to track consumer behavior across applications. Facebook, in Q4 2021, was forced to accept a US$10B write down on revenue projections due to this change and is expecting a similar US$10B right down again in 2022.

Google is making similar changes, the most significant being the removal of the third-party cookie from its Chrome browser, which has a 65% market share. This third-party cookie is responsible for the tracking that websites use to monetize by tracking consumers. The removal of the Chrome cookie will put the 1.8 billion websites operating in the open web today under pressure to find a solution to replace the 65% loss in revenue.

Best-in-class backcountry aircraft producer CubCrafters turned heads when the company announced in July that it will make a public offering to raise investment capital through the sale of preferred stock.

Within the first 48 hours of its announcement, CubCrafters received $5 million in reservations for 1 million planned shares, which has grown beyond $20 million in reservations in the subsequent weeks as the company awaits qualification for its listing from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”). The reservations for the company’s shares have taken off, rising closer and closer to its initial goal for the public offering ( ).

Cub Crafters Inc. (typically styled CubCrafters) is an OEM aircraft manufacturer based at McAllister Field Airport in Yakima, Washington. The company was founded in 1980 to build parts and supplementary type certificate (STC) improvement modifications, which were used to establish it as the preeminent center for rebuilding the classic Piper PA-18 Super Cub light aircraft. CubCrafters went on to advance the market with its own, newly manufactured aircraft models and holds an approved Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Production Certificate. Yakima-based operations include an engineering design-test-certification center, aircraft parts and assembly production facilities, and an MRO maintenance service and overhaul facility.

The first newly manufactured aircraft by the company, the CC18-180 Top Cub, was Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certified in December 2004. The Top Cub was also granted type certificates (TC) by Transport Canada in July 2008, followed by Australian certification in August of that same year. With the FAA’s release of the new Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) class, CubCrafters created a brand-new model in 2008, the CC11-100 Sport Cub, similarly based on the original Piper J-3 Cub’s appearance, which it validated to ASTM international standards as an LSA. This model advanced to become known as the Carbon Cub, the bestselling LSA of all time in the U.S.

CubCrafters focuses on four main product lines, including the Carbon Cub SS, Carbon Cub FX, XCub, and the Top Cub under license. Some models are built to be lightweight and powerful for quicker flights, while others are built for longer missions in unforgiving backcountry environments.

CubCrafters has a service and overhaul facility for PA-18 Super Cubs and other Cub derivative designs at its Yakima headquarters. The company sells aircraft kits as well as finished aircraft.

The Carbon Cub is available in three variants: Carbon Cub SS (production Light Sport Aircraft), Carbon Cub FX (an innovative Builder Assist E/A-B aircraft) and Carbon Cub EX (E/A-B aircraft kit). Carbon Cub has been designed for off-airport operation with a powerful engine, strong lightweight airframe and nimble low-speed manners. The Carbon Cub has taken the fundamentally superior design of the Piper Super Cub and reinvented it using 21st century materials and computer-aided design. Superior engineering results include the Carbon Cub having 50% fewer parts and weighing more than 300 pounds less than a similarly equipped Super Cub. Now in its third generation of innovation advancements, there are over 1,000 Carbon Cubs flying.

The CubCrafters CC19-180 XCub, FAA Certified and introduced in June 2016, is supplied complete and ready-to-fly. The XCub is a further scaled development of the CubCrafters Carbon Cub, which the company continues to supply, but with higher performance and incorporating more structural carbon fiber. The XCub was developed over a six-year period and not publicly announced until FAA TC had been completed and issued. The process was completed organically using company resources and did not involve any venture capital, loans nor any advanced customer deposits. XCub is built on a wholly original fuselage design. The CNC-milled 4130 chromoly steel frame meets the latest FAA Part 23 certification standards for 2,300-pound gross weight aircraft. XCub’s useful load is as high as 1,084 pounds. Current Part 23 certification requirements ensure this is the strongest Cub ever produced. It can fly farther, providing greater comfort. It is an airplane that has taken the best from the past and, using the very latest in design, material and manufacturing technology, has established a new standard.

The XCub was approved by the FAA for seaplane operations in December 2017. That same month, EASA approved the XCub design and issued a new type certificate. Four international type certificates have been gained: EASA Dec-2017, Canada Feb-2018, Japan April-2018, and Australia Aug-2018.

CubCrafters increased the horsepower of the XCub line in 2019, offering two new models: the CC19-215 FAA Certified version and the CCX-2300 Builder Assist, both powered by the new CC393i 215 HP engine built by Lycoming.

In December 2021, CubCrafters gained FAA Certification of a new nose wheel version of the XCub, branded the NXCub.

American Cannabis Partners

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight American Cannabis Partners.

President Joe Biden announced that he was granting pardons to all individuals convicted on minor federal marijuana possession charges; ex-convicts on such charges would also have their criminal records expunged. President Biden also asked governors to take similar steps regarding state-level cannabis offences. In addition, the president asked the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to expeditiously review the scheduling of marijuana in the 1970 Controlled Substances Act. These actions of the head of state come at a time when the country is gearing up for midterm elections in a few weeks, and experts say the announcements of the president are likely to affect the way voters view the marijuana legalization ballot measures before them in at least five states. At the moment, 19 states have legal markets for recreational marijuana and dozens more run medical marijuana programs. According to Eddie Armstrong, a leading campaigner for the legalization of adult-use marijuana in Arkansas, this is clear proof that states are providing the leadership needed to respond to the evolving needs of citizens. According to this former state-level lawmaker, the federal government is being shown the way it should take by the states which have enacted cannabis reforms. When all is said and done, the marijuana industry across the country and its established actors such as American Cannabis Partners look forward to seeing more states ending prohibition so that the industry can make positive contributions towards creating employment, generating tax revenue and helping to rebuild communities.

American Cannabis Partners (ACP) is a multi-state cannabis company with 560,000 square feet of licensed canopy space for cultivation and one retail license. The company is nationally headquartered in Trinity County of Northern California’s Emerald Triangle.

ACP is focused on three complementary business segments: real estate, acquisition & development of proprietary assets, and ongoing cultivation operations. Led by a seasoned management team with 30+ years of canna-business experience, ACP’s strategy is to capture opportunities in real estate and licensing in states that have recently passed cannabis legalization legislation, thereby equipping the company to capitalize on Federal interstate commerce opportunities.

Through its current cultivation operations, ACP supplies approximately 80% of its whole flower products for manufacturing, distribution and retail licenses. Market Outlook

Driven by increasing development and adoption in automobile safety applications, environmental mapping and 3D-modeling, the global lidar market is forecast to experience considerable growth over the coming years. A research report published by MarketsAndMarkets suggests that the sector will grow to an estimated $3.4 billion by 2026, achieving a CAGR of 21.6% over the next five years.

The report further highlights increasing investments in lidar startups by automotive giants as a driver of growth opportunities in the sector, particularly in North America.

In 2020, ground-based lidar accounted for the lion’s share of the overall lidar market, and this trend is expected to continue as the automotive sector continues to rapidly advance adoption across the full spectrum of vehicle classes. One factor not to be underestimated is the high barrier of entry and the exceptionally long time required for automotive OEMs to vet and award a production win to a lidar company. It is a commonly held view that the over 50 lidar companies will inevitably coalesce into a handful serving all OEMs.

Cepton, having a head start through its established partnership with leading global OEM GM, is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this market growth in the years to come.

Management Team

Cepton’s founder-led team is made up of lidar industry pioneers with decades of collective experience across advanced lidar and imaging technologies.

EverGen Infrastructure Corp. (TSX.V: EVGN) (OTCQX: EVGIF)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight EverGen Infrastructure Corp. (TSX.V: EVGN) (OTCQX: EVGIF).

EverGen (TSX.V: EVGN) (OTCQX: EVGIF) , a leading Canadian renewable energy company and Canada’s renewable natural gas (“RNG”) infrastructure platform, recently announced that its common shares had commenced trading on the OTCQX(R) Best Market in the United States under the symbol EVGIF. “During this milestone-rich quarter for EverGen, we are pleased to provide increased access and liquidity for investors in the US who seek to participate in the energy transition. An upgrade to the OTCQX in the United States is a natural progression for EverGen, allowing us to introduce our RNG infrastructure platform to a broader audience as we continue to execute on our growth plans with clear visibility to deliver over 1 million gigajoules of RNG annually,” EverGen CEO Chase Edgelow is quoted in a recent article as saying. The uplisting comes amid a burgeoning alternative energy market and a strong push for energy transition toward greener solutions, including those based on using waste to create fuel. “RNG sector uses organic waste such as food, agriculture, wood, and wastewater that would otherwise release methane, the most potent greenhouse culprit, to produce RNG… In a country that leads when it comes to RNG use, EverGen seems to have emerged as a high-growth pioneer that rapidly expands its footprint across three provinces — from British Columbia, where it had its beginnings, to new projects in Alberta and Ontario,” the article continues. To view the full article, visit

EverGen Infrastructure Corp. (TSX.V: EVGN) (OTCQX: EVGIF) is developing Canada’s Renewable Natural Gas Infrastructure Platform, starting on the west coast in British Columbia. The company is combating climate change and helping communities contribute to a sustainable future by acquiring, developing, building, owning and operating a portfolio of renewable natural gas (RNG), waste-to-energy, and related infrastructure projects.

While EverGen is currently focused on British Columbia, its continued growth is expected across other regions of North America. RNG is produced differently than conventional natural gas, without drilling wells. RNG is derived from biogas, which is captured from decomposing organic waste in landfills, food waste, agricultural waste matter and wastewater from treatment facilities. This waste feedstock is supplied to an anaerobic digester which contains bacteria that breaks down organic matter in the absence of oxygen. The resulting biogas is captured and cleaned to create carbon neutral or carbon negative RNG to be used by the existing North American gas pipeline grid. By capturing these emissions and transforming them into RNG, then combusting into CO2, the overall greenhouse gases (GHG) impact is materially less potent than allowing natural decomposition to release methane into the atmosphere. Liquid and solid digestate matter is a byproduct of the RNG production process and is used as fertilizer and in other applications.

EverGen operates three projects in British Columbia. The company was incorporated in 2020 and went public in 2021, with its common shares listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under ticker symbol ‘EVGN’. In February 2022, EverGen’s common shares began trading on the OTCQB Venture Market in the U.S. under ticker symbol ‘EVGIF’. The company is headquartered in Vancouver.

Portfolio Projects

Fraser Valley Biogas is one of three projects in EverGen’s portfolio. Located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, the facility has been digesting manure and off-farm organics since 2011 and was the first agricultural digester in Canada to produce RNG. The RNG generated through this project is part of a FortisBC program to supply renewable gas to homes, businesses and other customers. Fraser Valley Biogas also provides Abbotsford farms with renewable fertilizer via the digestate produced. EverGen acquired Fraser Valley Biogas early in 2021 and is currently enhancing and expanding the facility. These optimization projects resulted in record production during the month of September 2021, supporting the growing demand for RNG in British Columbia. Optimization activities contributed an additional 18% of RNG production for September and a 9% higher year-to-date production compared to the previous year. The facility produces approximately 80,000 gigajoules of RNG, enough to heat more than 1,000 homes for a year.

Net Zero Waste Abbotsford, a wholly owned EverGen subsidiary and portfolio project, is an existing composting and organic processing facility and RNG expansion project. The British Columbia Utilities Commission recently approved a 20-year offtake agreement between the facility and FortisBC, an electricity and gas utility. Under this agreement, FortisBC will purchase up to 173,000 gigajoules of RNG annually for injection into its natural gas system upon completion of an anaerobic digester project at Net Zero Waste Abbotsford. Once construction is complete, this project is expected to produce enough energy to meet the needs of more than 1,900 homes.

Sea to Sky Soils, a wholly owned EverGen subsidiary and portfolio project, is an existing composting and organic processing facility and potential future RNG expansion project which has been operating near Pemberton, British Columbia, on Lil’wat Nation land since 2012. The Lil’wat Nation is a key partner and supporter of the facility, which has employed a majority of its staff from the First Nation since inception. The Sea to Sky Soils facility processed approximately 160 percent of its forecast tonnage in the second half of 2021. In total, Sea to Sky Soils processed approximately 36,000 tons of organic waste in 2021. The facility is working with the Ministry of Environment to expand its operational capacity in 2022. EverGen has partnered with local municipalities – including Metro Vancouver and the municipality of Pemberton – for the delivery of additional organic waste to the facility. The facility is an important part of EverGen’s RNG infrastructure platform and serves as a source of valuable feedstock to support the company’s existing and future operations.

Market Outlook

A report from Global Market Insights states that the biogas market is projected to see significant growth over the next few years, driven by a shifting preference to utilize biogas to reduce emission levels from traditional fuels. Escalating RNG usage by gas utilities as a sustainable and low carbon alternative to supply heat and electricity in industries and buildings will further stimulate growth. RNG is increasingly deployed across the transport sector, especially for heavy vehicles and vessels, to abate GHG emissions.

Many North American gas utilities have set RNG targets of 5% to 15% of production by volume in 2030, compared to less than 1% by volume in 2020. FortisBC has a goal of including 15% RNG in its gas supply by 2030. EverGen believes this presents a potential C$16 billion+ opportunity for RNG producers.

Eloro Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: ELO) (OTCQX: ELRRF)

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Eloro Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: ELO) (OTCQX: ELRRF).

Scientists at the University of Glasgow have discovered a new way to use gold to measure whisky’s maturity. The researchers stated that every whisky variety gained some of its distinctive color as well as flavor profile as a result of its storage in wood casks as it matured over a certain period. They explained that the product’s final flavor was created when a mix of chemicals (congeners) retained within the spirit after distillation as well as the other chemicals it absorbed from the wooden casks reacted with oxygen over time.

The interactions of congeners are unpredictable. This, combined with other factors such as the shape and size of the wooden cask as well as the number of times it’s been used before, mean that the whisky stored in each cask will mature at its own pace and in its own way.

Therefore, to ensure product consistency, distillers use master blenders with extensive experience. Blenders sample the casks regularly to check the readiness of the alcoholic drink for blending, bottling and sale as a mixed blend or a single malt. While this method is effective, it’s an expensive and laborious task.

The industrial and commercial applications of various metals keep increasing, and this recent discovery of an additional way to use gold suggests that companies in the gold mining business, such as Eloro Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: ELO) (OTCQX: ELRRF) , are likely to remain relevant for decades to come.

Eloro Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: ELO) (OTCQX: ELRRF) is a publicly traded exploration and mine development company with a portfolio of gold and base-metal properties in Bolivia, Peru and Quebec.

The company has an option to acquire a 99% interest in the highly prospective Iska Iska Property, classified as a silver-tin polymetallic epithermal-porphyry complex, a significant mineral deposit type in the Potosi Department of southern Bolivia. Iska Iska is a road-accessible, royalty-free property.

Eloro also owns an 82% interest in the La Victoria Gold/Silver Project, located in the North-Central Mineral Belt of Peru, some 50 kilometers south of Barrick’s Lagunas Norte Gold Mine and Pan American Silver’s La Arena Gold Mine. La Victoria consists of eight mining concessions and eight mining claims encompassing approximately 89 square kilometers. La Victoria has good infrastructure, with access to road, water and electricity, and is located at an altitude that ranges from 3,150 meters to 4,400 meters above sea level.

The company has a strong management and technical team working diligently to uncover the value of both Iska Iska and La Victoria. Eloro is based in Toronto, Canada.

Iska Iska – Potosi, Bolivia

Iska Iska is associated with a Miocene possibly collapsed/resurgent caldera, emplaced on Ordovician age rocks with major breccia pipes, dacitic domes and hydrothermal breccias. The property is wholly controlled by the title holder, Empresa Minera Villegas S.R.L. It is located 48 kilometers north of Tupiza city, in the Sud Chichas Province of the Department of Potosi. This is an important mineral deposit type in the prolific South Mineral Belt of Bolivia. Eloro commissioned a NI 43-101 Technical Report on Iska Iska, which was completed by Micon International Limited and is available on Eloro’s website and under its filings on SEDAR.

A fully financed drill program is currently underway on the property, situated near world-class deposits including Silver Sand, San Bartolomé, Pulacayo, San Cristobal, San Vicente, Chorolque, Tasna, Choroma and Siete Suyos. Iska Iska is in the southwest part of the Eastern Cordillera, which hosts a number of major polymetallic mines and mineral deposits. Drilling and continuous channel sampling results have demonstrated some very high metal values, especially silver and tin, within an immense system, where mineralization has been encountered in every drill hole to date. The company believes there is excellent potential for world-class bulk mineable deposits.

La Victoria – Ancash, Peru

The La Victoria project, targeting gold and silver production, is situated near world-class, low-cost gold producers Pan American Silver and Barrick Gold Corporation. Located in Ancash Department, La Victoria sits on the western slopes of the Peruvian Andes. The property is located 12 hours from Lima, with a travel distance of 600 kilometers. The nearest road accessible population centers from La Victoria are Huandoval, Pallasca and Cabana. The project includes four principal mineralized zones in Peru’s prolific North-Central Mineral Belt – San Markito, Victoria, Victoria South and Ccori Orcco – with excellent potential for gold discovery. Operations at La Victoria are planned to proceed with a 2,000-meter diamond drilling program to test targets to outline potential resources at San Markito. Trenching and sampling confirmed high silver values and veins at San Markito in 2020.

Market Outlook

According to industry association The Silver Institute, the outlook for silver demand is exceptionally promising, with global demand forecast to rise to a record high of 1.112 billion ounces in 2022. The increase will be driven by record silver industrial fabrication, which is forecast to improve by 5%, as silver’s use expands primarily in solar energy and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing. The institute states that government commitments to carbon neutrality have resulted in a rapid expansion of green energy projects, driving record photovoltaic panel installations which are expected to lift silver demand in this segment to an all-time high in 2022.

Rising demand in the electronics industry is also boosting the demand for tin, which is primarily used in solder. The electronics and electrical industries use solders containing 40-70% tin, which provide strong and reliable joints under a variety of environmental conditions. At present, the majority of the assemblers are using patented tin-and-copper-based solders. Mordor Intelligence estimated tin demand at 387 kilotons in 2021 and forecasts demand growth of 2.5% annually through 2027. Over the medium term, surging demand from the EV market and increasing applications in the electrical and electronics industry is expected to drive the market.

Flora Growth (NASDAQ: FLGC) , a leading all-outdoor cultivator and manufacturer of global cannabis products and brands, has inked a definitive agreement with Franchise Global Health Inc. (TSX.V: FGH) , a multinational operator in the medical cannabis and pharmaceutical industry. The agreement outlines Flora Growth’s plans to acquire 100% of Franchise Global Health, which has principal operations in Germany, in an all-stock transaction. According to the agreement, the acquisition gives FLGC a foothold in German’s medical cannabis space because FGH’s German businesses service an estimated 1,200 pharmacies in the country; FGH also provides noncannabis medical products to 28 additional countries. In the first six months of this year, FGH reported revenue of approximately C$30.1 million; total aggregated reported revenues for both companies for the period ended June 30, 2022, reached $38.6 million. The agreement calls for Flora Growth’s indirect acquisition of FGH’s subsidiaries, including Phatebo GmbH, a leading distributor of export pharmaceuticals and medical cannabis products to the European Union, and ACA Müller ADAG Pharma Vertriebs GmbH, which holds the first German medical cannabis import and distribution license ever granted. “Through this proposed acquisition, we are connecting our commercial infrastructure and medical cannabis product portfolio to the German and EU medical markets, while gaining direct access to European pharmaceutical distributions,” said Flora Growth chair and CEO Luis Merchan in the press release. “We believe Franchise will significantly increase our commercial international revenue and provide essential distribution to German pharmacies and a growing wholesale market.” To view the full press release, visit

Through three successful pilot crop plantings, the location has demonstrated a production cost of just $0.06/gram. For comparison, the average cost of North American cannabis (based on 2019 figures from Aphria, Tilray, Sundial, and Aurora) equates to roughly $1.89/gram.

The QualityStocks Daily Newsletter would like to spotlight Advanced Container Technologies Inc. (OTC: ACTX).

  • ACTX CEO Doug Heldoorn, Grow Pod inventor Shannon Illingworth discuss the innovative microfarm option on recent Gamechangers LIVE podcast
  • Discussion focuses on history of company, significant health and safety benefits of Grow Pods
  • Company is dedicated to developing, manufacturing and selling advanced cultivation equipment and packaging systems

Advanced Container Technologies (OTC: ACTX) chair and CEO Doug Heldoorn was a featured guest on a recent episode of the Gamechangers LIVE podcast ( Heldoorn was joined by Shannon Illingworth, inventor of Grow Pods, the microfarm containers that ACTX distributes throughout the United States. During the podcast, the two men discussed the origins of Advanced Container Technologies and its potential to change the future of farming  ( New data from the Canadian government shows that less than 10% of federal marijuana license holders have left the market since the plant was legalized in 2018. This data suggests that industry forecasts of a decrease in marijuana producers in the market has not occurred, as new entries into the hypercompetitive market surpass those exiting by a wide margin. The new data was released as part of the Canadian government’s engagement paper for the Cannabis Act review. The public engagement paper also asks questions relevant to the industry to help gather feedback; that feedback will be used by the government to inform the legislative review of the law. Since October 2018, about 95 marijuana license holders left the burgeoning industry. Of this number, 67 held standard licenses, which face no canopy limits; 13 held licenses for sale for medical purposes only; and the remaining were micro-license holders.

Advanced Container Technologies Inc. (OTC: ACTX) is in the business of selling and distributing self-contained, automated, indoor “micro-farms” called Grow Pods, along with related equipment and supplies. Additionally, the company designs and sells patented proprietary medical-grade plastic containers, known as the Medtainer®, that store and grind pharmaceuticals, herbs, teas and other solids or liquids.

ACTX is the leading distributor of Grow Pods. With a controlled environment, food and herbs can be grown without pesticides, harmful chemicals or risk of pathogen contamination, and with low energy consumption. Restaurants, grocery stores, non-profits, MSOs and entrepreneurs can use Grow Pods to ensure a fresh supply of ultra-clean produce year-round.

The company entered the Grow Pod business in October 2020 with its acquisition of all shares of Advanced Container Technologies Inc., a California corporation. As of February 28, 2022, ACTX is exploring the acquisition of the assets and the assumption of some or all of the liabilities of GP Solutions Inc., the developer and manufacturer of Grow Pods, for which ACTX is currently the sole U.S. distributor.

Because Grow Pods can be located almost anywhere, produce can be grown closer to the point of consumption and harvested at its peak, providing nutritious fruits and vegetables where needed. Indoor micro-farms, utilizing a practice known as vertical farming, have attracted the attention of governments and universities, which are now promoting vertical farming as a way to combat food insecurity and inequities.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has stated that vertical farming “is no longer a futuristic concept.” The department is enthusiastic about vertical farming, particularly those utilizing repurposed shipping containers, such as Grow Pods. Arizona State University reports that vertical farming reduces water use by 90 percent compared to conventional farming but produces 10 times the crop yield.

Grow Pods

One of the company’s main business units is focused on selling advanced, self-contained hydroponic containers called Grow Pods. These unique and innovative automated systems are essentially micro-farms that can be placed virtually anywhere and, with their controlled and specially filtered environment, allow cultivation of a wide variety of crops, 365 days a year. The Grow Pod controlled environment offers major advantages for the production of high-value crops. The ability to grow year-round and the ability to cultivate in a smaller footprint using less water and power are some of the primary advantages of the system. Grow Pods offer constant temperature, humidity and airflow control, as well as automated watering and lighting schedules for optimal growth and minimal labor requirements, regardless of crop.

ACTX meets the needs of the pharmaceutical and medical markets, including the cannabis and hemp industries, with patented packaging systems. The company designs, customizes, brands and sells proprietary medical grade plastic containers that can store pharmaceuticals, herbs, teas and other solids or liquids, with a special built-in feature that can grind solids and shred herbs. The company’s flagship container product is the patented Medtainer®, a child resistant, medical-grade herb container and grinder that is water-tight, air-tight and smell proof. Packaging in the cannabis industry is critical, with numerous stringent regulations about how cannabis products must be packaged and labeled. ACTX also offers custom-branded, compliant vacuum seal bags and other retail container solutions.

Equipment and Supplies

ACTX markets and sells two principal products: Grow Pods, which are specially modified insulated shipping containers manufactured by GP Solutions Inc., in which plants, herbs and spices may be grown hydroponically in a controlled environment, and Medtainers®, which may be used to store pharmaceuticals, herbs, teas and other solids or liquids and can grind solids and shred herbs. The company also markets and sells various products related to Grow Pods and the Medtainer®, as well as providing private labeling and branding services for purchasers of Medtainers® and certain related products.

GP Solutions manufactures and sells other products, such as humidity controllers and LED lighting systems for vertical farming. The company’s specially designed lighting panels are programmed to emit the exact wavelength of light that each crop requires. The system has a daybreak-to-nightfall feature that gives plants the proper chromatic signals to grow rapidly and fruitfully. High efficiency LED light strips supply the crops with a red and blue light spectrum required for photosynthesis in the spectrum that plants need most.

Market Overview

The global vertical farming market is expected to reach $33.02 billion by 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research. The market is forecast to expand at a CAGR of 25.5 percent from 2022 to 2030, according to Grand View. Escalating production of biopharmaceutical products, including cannabis, is anticipated to drive the market. The building-based segment of the market is expected to register a significant CAGR of 27.8 percent over the projected period. In addition, the climate control segment is expected to see high growth.

The global cannabis packaging market is expected to reach $14.34 billion by 2028, according to analysis by Reports and Data. The analysis forecasts 1,700 percent growth in cannabis users by the end of 2026, with packaging likely observing a whopping 26.42 percent growth in the forecast period. There are significant barriers to entry in the cannabis packaging market, giving an advantage to companies already established in the sector. These barriers include developing a thorough knowledge of the myriad regulations that govern cannabis packaging (which differ in each state), and child-resistance requirements.
